Why Clandestine Liaisons?
Let's face it, often you need to meet a number of people before you find someone you click with. But the problem is, how do you meet someone who has the same agenda as you? Sure there are ways but they all take time and energy... lots of it.
Clandestine Liaisons gives you the chance to meet other likeminded people, face to face in relaxed surroundings so you know straight away if there is chemistry between you.
Who goes to Clandestine Liasions events?
Our guests are typically busy executives and professionals usually married, attached or looking for a no strings encounters.
Where are the events held?
We keep the details of the specific venue for each event secret, but all are held in four and five star hotels. You will receive full details when we confirm your booking along with information from the hotel, directions etc.
How do the black tie events work?
We always confirm full details for each event on booking. When you arrive, we welcome you with a drink before you sit down to a three course meal. During dinner men will be asked to move tables between each course so you get to speak to as many other guests as possible. After dinner we arrange entertainment designed to present talking points between guests.
How do the masked balls work?
We always confirm full details for each event on booking. When you arrive a doorman will announce you, before you can enjoy a relaxed drink and a light meal. Ladies will be provided with dance cards that will enable to evening to run smoothly and encourage guests to talk to each other. An evening of live music and dance provides plenty of opportunity to unmask.
Do I need to be a member?
No. Clandestine Liaisons does not have an expensive joining fee or hefty monthly subscription, you simply pay for the events you want to attend.
Will I meet people of all ages?
Most of the guests at our events are aged between 25 and 50. This broad age range allows you to meet a diverse group of people - and caters for people who may be looking for someone younger or older than themselves.
How many people can I expect to meet in a night?
At our city venues events are attended by approximately 60 guests, 30 men and 30 women. The masked balls are attended by approximately 150 guests, 75 men and 75 women.
How long does an event take?
You will be sent full details of the event when you book, but typically events start at 7.30pm with welcome drinks before dinner at 8pm. Events usually wind up at 11pm, although Masked balls continue until 1am.
How should I dress for the event?
We ask our guests to dress to impress. At city events this means evening dresses for the ladies and black tie for the gents. At our country house hotel events and masked balls we ask ladies to wear sumptuous ball gowns and the gents their finest dinner suits.
Do I have to give you my real name?
No. The name requested on our booking form is the name that will appear on your table setting at dinner, and nowhere else. We do not make our guests wear badges. So who do you want to be tonight?
How will you contact me?
We understand that discretion is essential. Our experienced administration team understands the nature of our business and that confidentiality is paramount. Enquiries, bookings and confirmation information will be sent to you using our administration company. You will never receive any correspondence from Clandestine Liaisons.

We're sorry! To ensure the best possible experience, each event has a maximum capacity and our system is programmed with this information.
Can I sign up with a friend?
Naturally, in fact we encourage it - why not come with a friend or colleague! Maybe you could invite a potential partner along in the knowledge that if sparks don't fly your evening has not been wasted.
What if I don't see any events in my local area?
New events are being arranged all the time, come back and check the site soon or - if you are interested in an event in your local area - let us know. We can send you an email to let you know when an event has been organised.
